After my bachelor graduation, I will proceed my studies here in Eindhoven, starting with the master track of Industrial Design. I plan on a period of 2,5 years to finish the master studies, to give myself some more air, making sure I will not overburden myself again. In these years, I will proceed my education to become an interaction designer with special focus on the intertwined digital and physical living environment. During my masters I will take half a year to go abroad for a specialisation in (architectural) lighting design at the Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan in Stockholm (SE), or Aalborg University Copenhagen (DK). For my next project at ID TU/e, I formulated the following learning goals:
Decision making
As described in this showcase, I doubt a lot. Too much. Decision making takes me too long. To prevent this from happening, or to work around this character trait, I should start making from the beginning of a design process. Starting with experimenting will kickstart a desing project, so my head can tap in later.
Implementation of expertise areas
Within the final bachelor project, I only implemented a small number of expertise areas. Next projects, I should incorporate more aspects of designing, implementing the areas of Business and Entrepreneurship and Math, Data and Computing more.
Ideation
I need to practice ideation methods more. I need to learn myself to put myself in a position (mentally) where I can let go, ideate freely and generate a larger amount of ideas. As I then need to choose between more ideas, only the best will survive, raising the quality of ideas and concepts.
